To achieve the Level 2 NVQ in Wood Occupations – Site Carpentry, you must complete the following units:

Mandatory Core Units

  1. Conforming to General Health, Safety, and Welfare in the Workplace
  2. Conforming to Productive Working Practices in the Workplace
  3. Moving, Handling, and Storing Resources in the Workplace
  4. Installing First Fixing Components in the Workplace
  5. Installing Second Fixing Components in the Workplace
  6. Maintaining Non-Structural Carpentry Work in the Workplace


This qualification is assessed entirely in the workplace—no classroom exams.

Once enrolled, you will be assigned a dedicated assessor who will:
